Description

The Mepilex ® Border Sacrum complete dressing is the only five-layer foam dressing for the sacral area with the company’s proprietary Deep Defense Technology® – when used with other standard prevention protocols it has been proven to prevent the formation of a pressure ulcer.

The dressing can also be used to treat moderately to heavily exuding wounds in the sacral area. It absorbs and retains the exudate.  It also ensures adequate fluid balance, thus preventing maceration.

This improved design includes new flaps and thicker edges that allow for faster application and patient assessment. The sacral shape has been improved, particularly for pressure ulcer prevention, allowing you to achieve good coverage of the highly vulnerable sacral area – the improved seal of the gluteal cleft also ensures maximum protection .

The optimised design also features Safetac® – the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimises pain when changing bandages. The dressing is therefore comfortable and adapts to the patient’s anatomy – you can easily remove it without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients.
