Description

Mepilex® Ag is our multi-purpose antimicrobial foam dressing – when you need antimicrobial effectiveness to reduce germ contamination. The dressing is designed for low to moderately exuding burns and wounds. You can therefore use it to treat foot ulcers, decubitus and second-degree burns.

Prevention of wound infections

The foam dressing with silver can kill germs (bacteria and fungi) in the wound within 30 minutes, as shown in in vitro tests. According to an international consensus, antimicrobial effectiveness can reduce the bacterial load. It also acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds that are at high risk of infection or re-infection.

Mepilex Ag adheres gently to the wound thanks to Safetac® – the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimises pain during dressing changes. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients.
