Description

Imodium® Duo tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea accompanied by abdominal cramps and bloating. The tablets contain 2 mg loperamide and 125 mg simeticone, an active ingredient that relieves the unpleasant sensation of gas in the intestines. Imodium® Duo tablets are suitable when acute diarrhoea is accompanied by cramps, bloating and flatulence. Loperamide, or loperamide hydrochloride, reduces diarrhoea by slowing down increased intestinal activity. This active ingredient also promotes the absorption of fluids and electrolytes, preventing dehydration. The other active ingredient, simeticone, helps dissolve the gas responsible for cramps and bloating in the intestine, providing relief. Imodium® Duo is available without prescription. Always read the leaflet.
