Description

Indication

In dogs treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations where repellent (anti-biting) activity is required against sandflies, biting flies and/or mosquitoes.

  • Fleas: Treatment and prevention of flea infestations by Ctenocephalides felis and prevention of flea infestations by Ctenocephalides canis. Treatment prevents new flea infestations for 4 weeks.
  • Ticks: Treatment and prevention of tick infestations (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). A treatment eliminates ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), has a repellent activity against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for 4 weeks after treatment, and has a repellent activity against Dermacentor reticulatus from 7 days to 4 weeks after treatment.
  • Mosquitoes and sandflies: Repellent (anti-gorging) efficacy for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and for 4 weeks against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus). Persistent insecticidal efficacy for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus). Reduction of the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum by transmission through sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for up to 4 weeks. The effect is indirect due to the activity of the product against the vector.
  • Stable flies: Repellent activity (anti-gorging) and kills stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks.

ADVICE FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

Choose the appropriate pipette size according to the dog’s weight. For dogs weighing more than 60 kg, use the appropriate combination of two pipette sizes to approximate body weight.

The veterinary drug should be applied at two points that are inaccessible to the dog so that it cannot lick the application site. These sites are at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades and in the middle of the neck between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades. Take the blister card out of the package and detach one blister. Remove the pipette by cutting the blister with a pair of scissors along the dotted line or open by tearing after folding the marked corner. Hold the pipette vertically, away from the face and body, cut the tip of the pipette with scissors to open it. Spread the hair on the dog’s back until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin. Squeeze the pipette, apply about half of the contents halfway down the neck, between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades. Repeat the application at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades to empty the pipette. For best results, ensure that the veterinary medicine is applied directly to the skin rather than to the coat.
