Indications
Imodium Instant orodispersible tablets are designed for a wide range of health professionals and patients, including pharmacists, doctors, nursing homes, hospitals, nurses, and physiotherapists. These tablets dissolve quickly on the tongue, facilitating ingestion without the need for water, and are specifically formulated to act quickly against diarrhea.

Recommended Use

• Acute Diarrhea: Adults start with a dose of 2 tablets (4 mg), and children with 1 tablet (2 mg). An additional tablet should be taken after each liquid stool.
• Chronic Diarrhea and Insufficient Stool Control: The starting dose is 2 tablets per day for adults and 1 tablet per day for children. The dose can be adjusted to achieve 1 to 2 solid stools per day, not exceeding 8 tablets per day for adults and 3 tablets per 20 kg of body weight for children.

Contraindications

• Allergy to loperamide hydrochloride or any other components of the medication.
• Children under 6 years old.
• Situations where slowing of intestinal movements is contraindicated.
• Intestinal obstruction, abdominal swelling, various inflammations of the colon, and bacterial infections of the colon caused by invasive organisms.
• Presence of blood in the stool or high fever.

Composition
Each tablet contains 2 mg of loperamide hydrochloride, along with gelatin, mannitol (E421), aspartame (E951), mint flavor (contains glucose, benzyl alcohol, traces of sulfites), and sodium bicarbonate.

Additional Indications
Imodium Instant is also recommended for adults aged 18 and over diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, to manage episodes of diarrhea.
