Description
Drontal Pup is a deworming treatment in liquid form designed exclusively for puppies and young canines up to 12 months of age, specifically targeting nematodes. This product is particularly effective against parasitic infestations, which are common in pets, by eliminating worms that reside in the intestines or other areas of the body and consume nutrients vital for the puppy’s development. It is crucial to start antiparasitic treatment as early as two weeks of life, because of the high risk of transmission of roundworms via the mother’s milk. Twice-weekly deworming is recommended for puppies up to two months of age, then monthly for puppies up to six months. The product is formulated for easy oral administration.
Drontel Pup Vermifuge treats the following nematodes:
- Roundworms (> 96%)*: Toxocara canis and Toxocara leonina
- Hookworms (> 96 %)*: Ancylostoma caninum and Uncinaria stenocephala.
- Tricurids (> 97%)*: Trichuris vulpis
*Percentage reduction in worm eggs (median value)

Shelf life is indicated on the packaging and is generally sufficient if you follow the recommended use.
Side effects
In very rare cases, mild transient gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. vomiting or diarrhoea) may occur.
