CHX and natural ingredients

Dentists have been prescribing chlorhexidine for almost 70 years. And with good reason: it works. In addition to CHX digluconate, Perio Plus+ contains natural bioflavonoids extracted from bitter orange (Citrus aurantium amara): CITROX®.

An enhanced effect

CITROX® bioflavonoids have powerful antibacterial properties. Even better, CITROX® enhances the antibacterial effect of CHX. In combination with CITROX® and CHX digluconate, Perio Plus+ demonstrates exceptional efficacy.

Presentation of the CITROX®/P formula

CITROX® is an entirely natural product. It is a natural bioflavonoid extracted from the bitter orange (Citrus aurantium amara) which is particularly effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi. In order to ensure good adhesion to the teeth, gums and oral mucosa for a long-lasting effect, it is combined with another natural ingredient, the amino acids of polylysine, to create the CITROX®/P formula.

Pleasant taste without taste alteration

Perio Plus+ has a pleasant taste, thanks to CITROX® and flavours developed by flavour specialist Givaudan. In addition, Perio Plus+ does not impair the sense of taste: all food retains a normal taste.

Tips for minimising discolouration

During treatment with Perio Plus+, avoid smoking, coffee, black or green tea, red wine, red fruits, curry or saffron. This will help to limit the coloration as much as possible. Brush your teeth carefully with a toothbrush and remember to use a whitening toothpaste such as those in our “Black Is White” or [BE YOU.] ranges. Dental surgeons will also be able to easily remove these stains.

Attention

Use Perio Plus+ or other CHX-based mouthwashes only as recommended by your dentist. Under normal circumstances, the use of this product is not necessary. Toothbrushes and interdental brushes are sufficient to clean teeth, gums and oral mucosa. Always follow your dentist’s instructions.
