Description

Caret Down

Composition: lyophilised extract of propolis 300 mg (3:1), microcrystalline cellulose, neutral anionic copolymer, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.

Standardisation per capsule: flavonoids 13.2 mg

Propolis is produced by bees from the resin of trees, plants and buds and is used as a building material and disinfectant. These substances are chewed and mixed with their own saliva to form a brownish sticky paste which is transported and deposited in the hive.

Antibiotic properties:

The bacteriostatic activity of propolis is due to galangin (3, 5, 7 trihydroxyflavone), the presence of benzoic acid and ferulinic acid.

Fungicidal properties:

The antimycotic activity of propolis is due to the presence of caffeic acid, pinocembrin and p-coumarinic acid. An in vitro study has shown that an alcoholic solution of propolis is effective against Candida albicans.

Anti-parasitic and anti-protozoa properties:

Propolis acts against various intestinal and vaginal parasites and protozoa (Trichomonas vaginalis), even in patients who do not respond to conventional antiparasitics.

Analgesic and anaesthetic properties:

Propolis has analgesic properties. This activity of propolis is 3 ½ times stronger than that of cocaine, and stronger than that of novocaine.

Healing properties:

When propolis is used externally, wounds and burns, whether infected or not, heal more quickly

faster. Better tissue regeneration is observed during decubitus treatment.

Immunostimulant properties:

  • stimulation of phagocytosis.
  • elimination of germs present in infected areas.
  • increased lymphocyte activity.
  • increase in specific and aspecific antibodies.

While general resistance decreases when antibiotics are used, taking antibiotics combined with propolis reduces this negative effect on general resistance.

Antiviral properties:

The antiviral activity of propolis on plant viruses is already apparent at low doses.

Anti-tumour properties:

Experimental research has shown the inhibitory effect of propolis on Ehrlich tumour growth.

Other properties: The high concentration of flavonoids and flavonols gives propolis antioxidant and protective properties for the vascular walls. Thanks to the influence of flavonoids on the metabolism of arachidonic acid, propolis has a favourable effect on the mucous membranes of the stomach and the regeneration of cartilage and bone tissue.

PHYTOTHERAPEUTIC APPLICATION:

1. Ear, nose and throat disorders:

Otitis, traumatic perforation of the eardrum, stomatitis, mouth ulcers, laryngitis, whooping cough, rhinitis, hypoacusis, glue- ear in children. Propolis can be used both externally and internally.

2. Bronchopulmonary disorders:

In addition to its internal use, propolis can be used in aerosol form, effective in the case of bronchitis, broncho-pneumonia, even of asthmatic origin.

3. Stomatological conditions:

Gingivitis, periodontosis, painful tooth extraction.

4. Digestive disorders:

Colitis, inflammation of the liver, gallbladder and intestines.

5. Gynaecologicaldisorders :

Propolis extract can be used to treat gynaecological disorders (cervical erosion, candidiasis, thrichomoniasis, etc.). The duration of treatment should be limited to 7 to 10 days.

Allergic reactions may occur with prolonged use.

6. Urogenital disorders:

In this case, propolis can be used alone or in combination with phytotherapeutic adjuvants depending on the severity of the infection. The analgesic effect is most pronounced in cystitis.

7. Dermatological conditions:

Eczema, dermatitis, furunculosis, folliculitis, warts, trichophytia, scars, wounds following infections, lactation and burns. In the treatment of burns, propolis acts as an anaesthetic, bactericide and regenerator. The permeability of superficial vessels affected by burns is reduced. Propolis stimulates epithelial proliferation and granulation, stimulates scar formation, disinfects and improves blood supply.

Caution:

In rare cases, propolis can cause an allergy when used externally and internally. Internal use rarely causes an allergy. People allergic to Peruvian balsam may also be sensitive to propolis.

Properties: antiseptic, increases resistance, fortifying, anti-inflammatory, euphoric, fungicide, increases oxygen, vulnerary (heals wounds).

infection, sore throat, hoarseness, loss of voice, fungus, warts, wounds, burns.

Do not use during pregnancy without medical advice.

Acute: 2 capsules a day

Chronic: 1 capsule a day
