Lemon balm essential oil has antispasmodic, calming, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Flavonoid glucosides and triterpenic acids (ursolic acid, oleanolic acid, catecholic substances, bitter substances) are spasmolytic, aperitive, digestive and carminative. Lemon balm is a phytotranquiliser that acts on the limbic system. It can be used to relieve nervous and emotional tension, palpitations and melancholy.

The bark of Salix alba (White Willow) contains phenol glycosides: salicin, fragilin, vimalin, salidroside and salicortin, which have spasmolytic, calming, lenitive, antiseptic, febrifuge and anti-rheumatic properties and prevent the formation of blood clots.

Linden contains an essential oil (geraniol, farnesol, eugenol, linalol) which has an antispasmodic, calming effect and can increase resistance. Linden also contains flavonoids: vitexin, hesperidin, quercetin, astragalin; anthocyanic glycosides, mucilage, amino acids which aid digestion and are diuretic, sudorific, hypotensive and stimulate the gall bladder.
