Trigonella foenum-graecum (fenugreek) contains trigonelline, methyl betaine, bitter substances, mucilage (mannogalactan), saponins, nicotinic acid and nicotinic amide, vit. C, minerals, flavonoids such as rutin, vitexin and orientin, proteins and carbohydrates. Fenugreek has tonic properties, is digestive, aperitive, stimulates the pancreas, is diuretic and lowers blood sugar.

Turnera diffusa (damiana) contains an essential oil with pinene, cymol, thymol, cineol, tannins, mucilage, bitter substances, resins, starches and an alkaloid like strychnine. These substances have a tonic effect, strengthening the nerves and regulating hormones and the pituitary gland. Damiana is indicated for treating depression, overwork, weakness, frigidity, menopause, amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea and incontinence.

Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) contains a large number of active ingredients that act on virtually every organ. The essential oil, which contains pinene, camphene, cineol, borneol and camphor, has a toning and regulating effect on the nervous system, blood circulation and heart. Flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin, glucoside), phenolic acids (caffeic, chlorogenic and rosmarinic acid) and bitter substances (picrosalvin) have cholagogue, antispasmodic, diuretic and antigonadotropic properties and aid digestion. Rosemary is used in cases of nervous exhaustion, weakness, recovery, digestive problems, circulatory disturbances (heart, brain, peripheral), depression, fatigue and headaches.

Royal jelly contains many vitamins, including B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E, A, biotin and folic acid. It also contains 5% fatty acids, the most important of which is HDA-10, which plays a vital role in rheumatic conditions. The percentage of HDA-10 is representative of the quality of the jelly.
