Bromelain is a combination of plant enzymes extracted in their pure, natural state from the stem of the pineapple plant. Bromelain comprises a group of different enzymes (enzymes are biological catalysts) that naturally supplement the diet. Bromelain DR contains 2400 enzyme activity units (GDU, Gelatin Digestin Units) per gram. The use of acid-resistant capsules (DRcaps®) helps to preserve the enzymatic activity of Bromelain DR.
