Tobacco dependence

Adults

• Initial phase (3 to 4 weeks): Nicotinell 21 mg/24 h
• Follow-up treatment (3 to 4 weeks): Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h or Nicotinell 21 mg/24 h
• Treatment withdrawal (3 to 4 weeks): Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h OR Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h then Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h
• Initial phase (3 to 4 weeks): Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h or increase to Nicotinell 21 mg/24 h
• Follow-up treatment (3 to 4 weeks): Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h or Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h
• Treatment withdrawal (3 to 4 weeks): Stop treatment or Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h
• Treatment lasts approximately 3 months. Do not use for more than 6 months without medical advice

Method of administration

• Patients should stop smoking completely during treatment with this medicine
• Transdermal devices should not be used concomitantly with other pharmaceutical forms of nicotine replacement such as chewing gum or sucking tablets without medical advice
• Open the sachet and apply the device to a dry skin surface, free of skin lesions and where there is little hair (shoulder blade, hip, outer arm, etc.)
• A new system will be applied every 24 hours to a different application site from the previous one
• During handling, avoid contact with the eyes and nose. Wash hands after application

Smoking dependence

After opening the sachet, it is recommended to apply the device to a dry skin surface, free of skin lesions and where there is little hair (shoulder blade, hip, outer arm, etc.) A new system will be applied every 24 hours to an application site different from the previous one.
During handling, avoid contact with the eyes and nose. Wash hands after application.

Each transdermal device contains 17.5 mg of nicotine in a 10 cm2 patch and delivers 7 mg of nicotine per 24 hours

The active substance in the Nicotinell patch is nicotine.
