Tobacco dependence

Adults

• Usual dose: 4 - 12 refills per day
• Optimal dose: 6 refills per day
• The maximum dose is reached after 20 minutes of intensive use
• Duration of treatment: 3 months then gradual reduction over 6 - 8 weeks
• Smoking must be completely stopped
• As far as possible, cigarettes should be replaced by the Inhaler

Method of administration

Use the Inhaler as soon as the urge to smoke arises Preferably not below 15°C (otherwise nicotine release decreases) Take the mouthpiece out of the box and dismantle it Remove the protective aluminium foil from the case containing the refills Take a refill (containing nicotine) and place it in the mouthpiece Replace the mouthpiece The pellets sealing the two ends break off automatically Use immediately (gradual decrease in concentration if not used) Deep inhalation (with the Inhaler) is recommendeddeep inhalation (as with cigarette smokers) or shallow inhalation (as with cigar smokers) produces similar effects. But inhalations must be more frequent than with a cigarette (this means that the Inhaler must be used for longer each time). After use, remove and discard the refill
