Smoking dependence

• In adults, to relieve the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal, in particular the irresistible desire to smoke when trying to stop smoking
• Permanent cessation of smoking is the ultimate goal

Adults

• 1 or 2 sprays
  • at a time when cigarettes would normally have been smoked
  • or in the event of a craving.
  • If a single spray is not enough to control cravings within a few minutes, spray a second time.
  • If 2 sprays are required, the subsequent doses can be 2 consecutive sprays
  • Usual dose: 1 to 2 sprays every 30 minutes to every hour
  • Max. 2 sprays per administration and 64 sprays per day.
  • Start reducing the number of sprays per day so that, by the end of week 9, they are using only half the average number of daily sprays they were using in Step I
  • Max. 2 sprays per administration and 64 sprays per day.
  • Reduce the number of sprays per day to a maximum of 4 sprays per day during week 12.
  • Once the subjects have reduced the doses to 2 to 4 sprays per day, use of the oral spray solution should be discontinued
  • One spray in case of urgent need to smoke, followed by a second spray if a single spray does not bring relief within a few minutes
  • Max. 4 sprays/day

Method of administration

After priming the pump, point the mouthpiece as close as possible to the open mouth. Press the pump head to spray and release a spray into the mouth, avoiding contact with the lips. Do not inhale while spraying to avoid it reaching the respiratory tract. For best results, do not swallow for a few seconds after spraying
