What is Natalben® SUPRA?

Natalben® SUPRA is intended for pregnant women and has been formulated to comply with the latest scientific recommendations. Natalben® SUPRA provides you with essential nutrients (vitamins including folic acid, trace elements and minerals) to contribute to a normal pregnancy and the normal development of your baby.
Natalben® SUPRA nutritional supplements are recommended throughout your pregnancy.

Role of the main ingredients

of Natalben® SUPRA :

- Vitamin B9 (or folic acid or folates) in the form of Quatrefolic® (5-methyltetrahydrofolate), an active form of folates, an innovative ingredient: folates contribute to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and play a role in the cell division process. Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status increases the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The beneficial effect is achieved in women of childbearing age by consuming 400 μg of folic acid per day, at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
- Vitamin B12: contributes to normal energy metabolism. Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and plays a role in the cell division process.
- Vitamin D: is only partially supplied by the diet (mainly cod liver oil, eggs, butter, oily fish). It is mainly synthesised in the skin under the influence of optimal sun exposure. Vitamin D deficiency is therefore common. Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, and to the maintenance of normal bone structure.
- Iron: contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and to reducing fatigue. The iron in Natalben® PLUS is in the form of iron bisglycinate, a small molecule that is well assimilated and well tolerated in the digestive system.
- Iodine: contributes to normal thyroid hormone production and normal thyroid function.
- Selenium: contributes to normal thyroid function.
- Magnesium: contributes to normal muscle function.
- Omega-3 fatty acids: the consumption of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) by the mother contributes to the normal development of the eyes and brain of the foetus. The beneficial effect is achieved by consuming 200 mg of DHA daily, in addition to the recommended daily intake for adults of 250 mg of DHA and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).

One capsule per day in the middle of a meal to be swallowed with a large glass of water. Natalben® SUPRA is recommended throughout your pregnancy.
