Maalox Antacid 200/400 Comp 40

Maalox Antacid® and Maalox Antacid® Forte are medicines based on aluminium hydroxide (hydrated aluminium oxide) and magnesium hydroxide.

Maalox Antacid® and Maalox Antacid® Forte are indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of gastric acidity and gastric pain. This means that you should not use these medicines for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor. It is also important to stop treatment as soon as your symptoms have disappeared

Short-term symptomatic treatment of gastric acidity (pyrosis) and gastric pain.

Adults and adolescents > 12 years

• 1 to 2 tablet(s) per dose, preferably one hour after meals and at bedtime
• If necessary, an additional dose 2 hours later
• Maximum 7 doses per day

Method of administration

• Chew or suck the tablets

Maalox Antacid® 200mg/400mg Chewable tablets:1 chewable tablet contains 400 mg hydrated aluminium oxide (= 200 mg aluminium oxide), 400 mg magnesium hydroxide, 259.2 mg sucrose and 125 mg sorbitol.
