What is Iruxol?

Iruxol mono is used for wound cleansing and at the same time promotes wound healing. The ointment contains enzymes which break down fibre components (collagen). As a result, collagen strands can no longer hold destroyed tissue in the wound area and no longer prevent wound healing. In addition, Iruxol mono promotes the formation of new tissue and accelerates epidermis. Iruxol mono is used for minor injuries such as skin abrasions, lacerations and contusions as well as for minor burns.

What do you need to know before use?

Large, heavily soiled and deep wounds as well as bite and stab wounds require medical treatment (danger of tetanus). If the size of a wound remains unchanged for some time or if the wound does not heal within 10?14 days, a visit to a doctor is also necessary. The same applies if the wound edges are severely reddened, the wound suddenly swells, is very painful or the injury is accompanied by fever (risk of blood poisoning).

The skin areas treated with Iruxol mono ointment should not come into contact with the following agents at the same time:

disinfectants, alcohol, soap, benzine, locally applied enzyme or antibiotic preparations. The enzymatic effect of Iruxol mono ointment may be impaired.

In case of known hypersensitivity to the active substance or ingredients, Iruxol mono must not be used.

Iruxol mono should not be used in children and adolescents.

Iruxol mono should not be used near the eyes. After any contact of Iruxol mono with the eyes, they must be rinsed immediately and thoroughly with water.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are suffering from other illnesses, have allergies, are taking other medicines (including those you have bought yourself!) or are using them externally.

There is no known risk to the unborn child from Iruxol mono. As a precautionary measure, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or while breast-feeding, you should avoid medicines if possible or ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
