IBUPROFENE EG 400 MG 100 DRG

IBUPROFENE EG 400 MG is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) available in packs of 30 tablets. Each tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen, an active ingredient effective in relieving pain, reducing inflammation and lowering fever.

This medicine is generally used to treat various types of pain such as headaches, dental pain and menstrual pain, as well as to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu. It is also used to treat inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.

It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and not to use ibuprofen for long periods without medical advice. The use of ibuprofen may be associated with side effects, in particular gastrointestinal disorders. It is advisable to take this medicine with food to minimise the risk of gastric irritation.

Adults and children > 12 years

• Recommended initial dose: 3 x 600 mg per day
• Maintenance dose: 3 x 400 mg or 2 x 600 mg per day
• Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: up to 4 x 600 mg per day
• 2 x 400 mg per day to 3 x 400 mg or 2 x 600 mg per day
• Dysmenorrhoea: 3 x 400 mg daily.
• Treatment should be started as soon as the first painful symptoms appear. Two to three days’ treatment is generally sufficient.

Children < 12 years

• 2 to 6 years: maximum 600 mg per day (3 x 200 mg)
• 7 to 11 years: maximum 1200 mg per day (3 x 400 mg)

Method of administration

Best taken about 1 hour before meals.
Take ibuprofen tablets with a glass of water.
For the treatment of morning stiffness, the first daily dose should be taken on an empty stomach in the morning, with a little liquid.
The active substance is ibuprofen. Each tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen.
The other ingredients are: Maize starch, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, talc, polyethylene glycol (macrogol 400, macrogol 6000), hypromellose.
