What is Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop®Gel? Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Gel is a sterile, preservative-free, high-viscosity wetting agent contained in the innovative SafeDrop® system, a preservative-free multi-dose container co-developed by OmniVision.
It is used to improve long-term wetting of the ocular surface and is suitable for wetting hard and soft contact lenses during wear. This significantly improves contact lens wearing comfort

When is Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® gel used?

Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Gel contains hyraluronic acid, a natural substance that is also present in the structures of the human eye and in the tear film.
Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Gel is therefore particularly well tolerated. It intensely and sustainably protects and moisturises the surface of the eye, making it slippery, particularly in the case of more pronounced and chronic dryness. Its viscoelastic properties ensure a regular, stable and long-lasting tear film without affecting vision. It therefore provides lasting relief from the symptoms of dryness, irritation and mild irritation, including :

• environmental stress, e.g. due to air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness or air pollution such as cigarette smoke, or
• in the event of visual fatigue and stress due to intensive vision, e.g. on computer screens, microscopes or long car journeys, or
• when wearing hard or soft contact lenses or during diagnostic procedures on the eye.

Taking certain medications (e.g. the contraceptive pill, anti-allergic drugs, psychotropic drugs, sleeping pills) and medical procedures on the eye (e.g. LASIK or refractive surgery) can also play a role in the onset of dry eye.

What does Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® gel contain?

Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Gel contains sodium hyaluronate (0.30%), sodium citrate, sodium chloride, citric acid and purified water.

Free from preservatives. Particularly well tolerated thanks to the absence of phosphate buffer.
