• Treatment and prevention of superficial bacterial infections of wounds and burns
• Prophylaxis in skin transplants, where bacterial contamination can cause graft rejection and/or donor site infection

Skin infections

• Clean the wound before application
• Apply the ointment 1 to 2 times a day
• Duration of treatment: 5 to 7 days

Burns

• Clean and debride the wound before application
• Apply the ointment either directly to the wound using a spatula, or on a gauze pad first
• A new layer of ointment is applied when the dressing is renewed or in accordance with the chosen bandaging technique
