DAFALGAN ODIS 500 MG 16 CPR

INDICATIONS

This medicine is an analgesic (it relieves pain) and an antipyretic (it reduces fever). It contains paracetamol.
It is indicated to relieve pain and/or reduce fever, for example in cases of headache, flu, dental pain, muscle pain and painful periods.
DAFALGAN ODIS is indicated for adults and adolescents weighing more than 50 kg.

USE

Normally, it is not necessary to exceed 3g of paracetamol per day, i.e. 6 tablets per day. However, in cases of severe pain, and on the advice of your doctor, the total dose may be increased to 4 g per day, i.e. 8 tablets per day. However, doses exceeding 3 g of paracetamol per day require medical advice.

SIDE EFFECTS

• In rare cases, a skin rash, redness of the skin or an allergic reaction
  may occur in the form of sudden swelling of the face or neck, or sudden discomfort.
  Treatment should be stopped immediately, your doctor informed and you should never take any
  medicines containing paracetamol.
• Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported. Stop treatment
  immediately, inform your doctor and never take any medicine containing paracetamol again.

• In exceptionally rare cases, changes in the results of laboratory tests have been observed,
  requiring blood tests: abnormally low levels of certain white blood cells (platelets), which may lead to to bleeding from the nose or gums
  If this happens to you, consult a doctor.
• Diarrhoea, abdominal pain, increased levels of liver enzymes
  (particularly if you have a risk factor for glutathione deficiency such as severe renal failure, sepsis , malnutrition
  or chronic alcoholism).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not take Dafalgan Odis:

• if you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other components of this medicinal product
• if you have severe liver disease
• if you have phenylketonuria (a hereditary disease detected at birth), due to the presence of aspartame, a source of phenylalanine.

COMPOSITION

• The active substance is :
  paracetamol (ethylcellulose microencapsulated paracetamol), 500 mg per orodispersible tablet.
• The other components are :
  anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sorbitol (E 420), anhydrous sodium carbonate,
  sucrose for compression, crospovidone, sodium, sodium benzoate (E 211), orange flavour,
  aspartame (E 951), acesulfame potassium, glucose.
