ControChol® is a dietary supplement based on red yeast rice and green tea extract.

Monacoline K from red yeast rice helps maintain normal cholesterol levels.

Cholesterol is a lipid substance (fat) that is essential for the body to function properly. It is involved in the manufacture and repair of cells and plays a vital role in the production of hormones such as testosterone and oestrogen. It is also a component of the bile acids needed to digest lipids.

Cholesterol comes from two sources: partly from our diet and mainly from production in the liver and intestine.

Certain factors can contribute to an increase in cholesterol levels, such as a sedentary lifestyle, a diet rich in saturated fats, age, smoking and heredity (family history of hypercholesterolaemia).

Appropriate dietary hygiene measures (including eating less fat, more fruit and vegetables and certain food supplements) and regular physical activity (30 minutes every day) already help to maintain normal cholesterol levels.

Red yeast rice contains Monacolin K.

Monacolin K helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Daily consumption of the equivalent of 10 mg of Monacoline K helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels.

Green tea is rich in catechins, particularly EGCG, which has a strong antioxidant action. On average, a cup of green tea contains between 80 mg and 120 mg of catechins.

Green tea helps control cholesterol.

ControChol® is a dietary supplement and cannot replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

ControChol® cannot replace medical treatment for hypercholesterolaemia.

Do not exceed the daily dose indicated (1 tablet per day).

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice in any of the following situations:

Kidney, muscle or liver disorders, known intolerance to statins, people over the age of 70, pregnancy, women who are breastfeeding, the use of medicines that may cause interactions (e.g. cholesterol-reducing drugs).

Interactions:

The use of grapefruit juice should be avoided.

For adults over 18 years of age only.

Keep out of reach of children.

Adults (over 18): 1 tablet a day with a meal, preferably in the evening.
