Acute treatment of myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, coronary artery bypass grafting, coronary angioplasty and dialysis-shunt
Prophylaxis
Secondary prophylaxis after myocardial infarction, transient ischaemic attack (TIA) or other cerebrovascular accident (stroke), including Kawasaki syndrome
Primary prevention of myocardial infarction in certain risk groups (strong family history of atherosclerosis; diabetes mellitus; gout; hypertension; dyslipidaemia)
Acute treatment
1 to 3 tablets spread over the day
1st dose in the event of acute myocardial infarction: between 3 and 6 tablets
Prophylaxis
1 to 2 tablet(s) per day
In case of Kawazaki syndrome
Febrile phase: 30mg/kg/day
From the 2nd to the 3rd week: 5mg/kg/day
Method of administration
Swallow the tablets with a little water, without cutting them up
Preferably after a meal
Then drink a further glass of water or other beverage
Acute myocardial infarction: chew or crush the tablets for the initial dose
Kawazaki syndrome: if, depending on the dose, tablets need to be divided, bear in mind that the gastric mucosa is not protected
