Productive cough

Use

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over :

• 10 ml (200 mg guaifenesin), 4 times a day.
• Maximum daily dose: 40 ml (800 mg guaifenesin).

Elderly subjects :

• As for adults.

Hepatic/renal disorders:

A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.

Composition

• Active substance (per ml):20 mg guaifenesin

Excipients: sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, carbomer, glycerol, ethanol, glucose, liquid, sucrose, sucralose, sodium benzoate (E211), caramel (E150), levomenthol, bitterness-masking flavour, honey flavour, lemon flavour, refreshing flavour, sparkling effect flavour, hot mix flavour, alcohol-free flavour enhancer and purified water

• Known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to one of the excipients.

Children under 12 years of age.

Interactions

• May cause colour interference with laboratory measurements of urinary levels of 5-hydroxy-indoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) and vanillylmandelic acid (VMA).

Expectorants such as guaifenesin should not be combined with cough suppressants in the treatment of cough
