Treatment of cardiovascular disease

Prevention of cardiovascular disease
- Secondary prevention after myocardial infarction, angina, ischaemic stroke or other cerebrovascular accident, peripheral vascular pain
- Primary prevention of myocardial infarction in certain risk groups (severe atherosclerotic family history, diabetes, gout, hypertension, dyslipidaemia)
Treatment
- Loading dose: 320 to 480 m
- Subsequent doses: 160 to 320 mg for a few weeks. Then move on to secondary prevention
