Description

Mepilex® Heel is a moulded foam dressing specially designed for wounds on the heel. Mepilex Heel minimises pain and damage to the wound or skin during dressing changes. Mepilex® Heel’s high absorbency means that wound exudate is effectively absorbed and the dressing fits snugly around the heel.

Application areas of Mepilex Heel

Mepilex Heel is an absorbent wound dressing specially developed for a wide range of low to moderately exuding heel wounds. When applied to the heel or ankle, Mepilex Heel effectively absorbs exudate, minimising the risk of maceration. Thanks to Safetac® technology, there is minimal risk of trauma to the wound or surrounding skin when Mepilex Heel is removed. Safetac also ensures that Mepilex Heel does not stick to the wound bed, but lies gently on the surrounding skin.
