Our proprietary Flex technology provides a highly conformable dressing with greater flexibility than other comparable foam dressings with an adhesive edge. A dressing that follows the patient’s movements and won’t peel off even in the shower. Nursing staff can concentrate fully on the care, as unplanned dressing changes are no longer necessary.

Practical exudate management

The five-layer dressing absorbs and channels exudate and traps it. This allows the progress of exudate to be monitored. They channel exudate away from the wound bed and prevent it from flowing back into the wound, even under pressure. Exudate management outperforms other foam dressings with adhesive edges and retains normal and viscous exudate.

Less pain and trauma

Our proven Safetac® technology reduces pain and trauma during dressing changes and there is also a lower risk of maceration than with traditional (adhesive) dressings.

Areas of application

You can use Mepilex® Border Flex to treat a wide range of exuding chronic and acute wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure sores*, skin tears and traumatic wounds. It can also be used as part of prophylactic treatment to prevent skin injuries such as pressure sores.

Available in square, oval and rectangular dressings, it can be used on a wide range of wounds and is considered the best all-in-one dressing.

Easy to use

Our proprietary three-part protective film simplifies the application of the Mepilex Border Flex. This allows you to place the dressing accurately and securely without wrinkles forming, the edges coming off or a new dressing being applied. You save time and produce less waste.

Applications of Mepilex Border Flex

You can use Mepilex Border Flex for a wide range of moderately to highly exuding wounds, e.g. pressure sores, leg and foot ulcers and traumatic wounds such as skin tears and dermabrasion. The dressing can also be used in conjunction with gels for dry and necrotic wounds.
