Description

HYLO®-GEL contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the eye and other parts of the body. Thanks to its special properties, it forms an even, stable and particularly long-lasting moisturising film on the surface of the eye, which cannot be quickly removed. Thanks to this bioadhesive characteristic added to natural tears, the cornea and conjunctiva are cared for and the lubrication is ideal for eyelid fluttering. HYLO®-GEL contains a particularly high level of hyaluronic acid and is therefore highly viscous. As a result, the eye is covered with a stable moist film that is particularly intensive and long-lasting. Ongoing or more serious problems are relieved and the eye is protected from irritation for the long term. The regeneration of the superficial tissues of the eye continually requires sufficient hydration. Using HYLO®-GEL hydrates the cornea and conjunctiva over a long period, supporting the optimum physiological healing process. HYLO®-GEL is preservative-free, so it is generally very well tolerated. What’s more, HYLO®-GEL is phosphate-free, which helps to avoid potential complications due to the formation of deposits in the cornea.

Indication

HYLO®-GEL is a sterile, phosphate-free, preservative-free eye drop containing 2 mg/ml sodium hyaluronate, citrate buffer, sorbitol and water. For intensive, therapeutic hydration of the surface of the eye in cases of severe, chronic dry eye and after eye surgery.

How to use Hylo-Gel Eye Drops

Remove the cap before each use. Before using for the first time, hold the bottle of HYLO®-GEL upside down with the dropper tip in the upright position, and press the bottom of the bottle several times until the first drop appears at the tip of the bottle. The bottle is now ready to use for subsequent applications. Hold the bottle with the dropper tip downwards, placing your thumb on the shoulder of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom of the bottle. Tilt the head back slightly; with your free hand, gently move the lower eyelid away from the eye and press quickly and vigorously on the centre of the bottom of the bottle. This activates the drop delivery mechanism. Thanks to the special valve technology of the COMOD® system, the size and speed of the drops are always the same, even when very strong pressure is exerted on the bottom of the bottle. Close the eye slowly to ensure that the liquid is distributed evenly over the surface of the eye. After use, carefully replace the cap directly onto the dropper tip. Make sure that the dropper tip is completely dry. Avoid any contact between the dropper tip and the eye or facial skin during instillation.
