Adults

Acute diarrhoea
Initial dose: 2 tablets
Subsequent doses: 1 tablet after each subsequent liquid defecation
Maximum dose: 8 tablets per day
Chronic diarrhoea and anal incontinence
Initial dose: 2 tablets per day
Maintenance dose: 1 to 6 tablets per day, to obtain 1 to 2 moulded stools per day
Maximum dose: 8 tablets per day

Children aged 6 to 18 years

Acute diarrhoea Initial dose: 1 tablet Subsequent doses: 1 tablet after each subsequent liquid defecation Maximum dose: 3 tablets per 20 kg of body weight per day and max 8 tablets per day Chronic diarrhoea and anal incontinence Initial dose: 1 tablet per day Maintenance dose: 1 to 6 tablets per day, to obtain 1 to 2 moulded stools per day Maximum dose: 3 tablets per 20 kg of body weight per day and max 8 tablets per day

Method of administration

Orodispersible tablets are fast-dissolving tablets that melt on the tongue in a few seconds and are swallowed with saliva. They can be swallowed without taking liquids
