For colds of allergic origin, accompanied by fever and/or headaches.

Properties :

Paracetamol and chlorphenamine maleate
This medicine combines an antihistamine (allergy medicine) and an analgesic-antipyretic (pain and fever medicine).

Indications:

In the treatment of symptoms of colds of allergic origin, accompanied by fever and/or headache.

Ingredients:

The active ingredients are: paracetamol 240 mg and chlorphenamine maleate 3.2 mg.
The other ingredients are: magnesium stearate, talc, colloidal silica.
Capsule components :
– Body: patent blue (E131), erythrosine (E127), titanium dioxide (E171), gelatin.
– Cap: patent blue (E131), titanium dioxide (E171), gelatine.

Directions for use :

Adults:
– The recommended dose is 3 to 6 capsules a day, taken 3 times a day: morning, noon and evening.
– For adults, do not exceed 6 capsules per 24 hours, or 2 capsules per dose.
– Treatment should be short (a few days).
– Swallow the capsules with a large glass of water, preferably half an hour before a meal.
Children:
– 5 to 10 years: 1 to 2 capsules per day (depending on age), not to exceed 2 capsules per 24 hours.
– 10 to 15 years: 2 to 3 capsules a day (depending on age), not to exceed 3 capsules in 24 hours.
– Only one capsule should be taken by children.

Precautions for use :

Never use Rhinofebryl:
– If you are allergic to the active substances or to any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine.
– In children under 5 years of age
– In case of serious liver disease due to the presence of paracetamol
– In cases of angle-closure glaucoma (ophthalmia) and certain prostate diseases due to the presence of chlorphenamine.
Other warnings and precautions :
This medicine contains paracetamol. Prescribed or recommended doses must not be exceeded or used for prolonged periods.
In people with severe kidney disease, this medicine should be used with caution.
During treatment, it is not advisable to take alcoholic beverages or sedatives. These could lead to increased drowsiness.
Undesirable effects due to chlorphenamine may be more pronounced if other anticholinergic drugs (a drug that promotes airway dilation and inhibits mucus production) are taken simultaneously.
As a precautionary measure, it is recommended not to take this medicine during pregnancy.
This medicine should not be used during breast-feeding.
Drivers and users of machinery: risk of drowsiness due to the presence of chlorphenamine in this medicine.
If you forget to use Rhinofebryl: do not take a double dose to make up for the one you have forgotten to take.
