Description

Usage and Indications: LEMSIP 500 mg is a powder for oral suspension used for the symptomatic treatment of pain and fever.

Dosage:

  • Adults and adolescents (body weight over 50 kg): 1 to 2 sachets (500 mg to 1 g) per dose, to be repeated if necessary every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 6 sachets (3 g) per day. In cases of more intense pain or fever, the daily dose can be increased to 4 g.
  • Children: Not to be used in children under 12 years of age without medical advice.
  • Elderly: No dose adjustment is necessary, but renal and/or hepatic insufficiency, which is more common in this population, should be considered.

How to Use: Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass and fill with warm or hot water. Stir well and sweeten if necessary.

Contraindications and Precautions:

  • Do not use in case of allergy to paracetamol or any of the other components.
  • Avoid in cases of severe liver or kidney diseases.
  • Caution in cases of mild to moderate hepatic or renal insufficiency.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.
  • Caution when taking barbiturates or certain epilepsy medications.

Drug Interactions:

  • Can be taken with anti-rheumatic drugs or coumarin-type anticoagulants, but caution is advised in case of prolonged use or high doses.
  • Avoid simultaneous use with barbiturate-based sedatives, certain antiepileptics, or alcohol.

Side Effects:

  • Possibility of skin reactions, severe liver and kidney damage in case of overdose or prolonged use.
  • Inform a doctor or pharmacist in case of side effects.

Composition:

  • Active ingredient: Paracetamol.
  • Other components: Ascorbic acid, sugar, sucrose, citric acid, sodium citrate, lemon flavor, aspartame, curcumin WD powder (E100), sodium saccharin.

Additional Information:

  • Not to be taken during the first three months of pregnancy without medical advice.
  • Can be taken during breastfeeding.
  • Contains aspartame, lactose, sucrose, and sodium.
