Description

APPLY THE SENSOR

The FreeStyle Free sensor is applied to the back of the top of your arm by a disposable device called an applicator. When applying the sensor, a 5 mm soft microfilament is inserted just under the skin.

SCAN THE SENSOR

To obtain your glucose level, you must scan the sensor. Scanning consists in passing the reader over the sensor.

GET YOUR RESULTS

With each scan, the reader displays:

the current glucose level, the history of the last 8 hours and a trend arrow. This indicates whether glucose levels increase, decrease or change slowly.

The reader can read through clothing up to 4 cm thick.

The FreeStyle Free sensor box contains:

– a sensor
– an applicator
– an alcohol wipe
– a notice

The FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor is compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader, the FreeStyle LibreLink application and the updated FreeStyle Libre Reader.

Optional alarms are available with the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or the latest version of the FreeStyle LibreLink application; but are not available with the updated FreeStyle Libre Reader.
